I’m Sylvia MBemba, I began my career began in Electronics Engineering.
In 2009, I shifted focus to people and talent by founding STERLING5 Partners, a boutique agency supporting the engineering industry across Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. I led the agency, building strong partnerships and delivering tailored recruitment solutions.
In 2017, I transitioned to in-house Talent Acquisition to deepen my impact with employers, leading recruitment and enablement programmes for organisations in sectors ranging from publishing, consulting, deep tech to biotech, internationally.
This blend of agency agility and in-house strategic leadership has given me a 360° view of talent acquisition: from urgent hires to building long-term recruitment infrastructure.
In July 2025, I launched Sylvia MBemba Consulting Ltd to bring this experience directly to growing companies and ambitious professionals. My mission is simple:
